This game will take you on a wild ride of fast-paced action, hilarious phrases, and bananas flying left and right!
To play, take turns spinning the spinner. When the spinner lands on a gorilla, find the right-size gorilla. It’s harder than you think! When the spinner lands on a banana or coconut, complete the action, then quickly grab a coconut or banana before they run out! The player with the most banana points at the end, wins!

This card game is perfect for our family game night. It is hard to find a game that everyone wants to play, but this one seems to be our new go to game. It is very easy to learn and we definitely have enjoyed all of the laughing.
My kids love 800 pound gorilla! The whole game, the cards all the way down to the box is so colorful and cute. The directions are really simple to follow, my kids are 9, 11 and 14 and they had it down after a couple spins. My husband and I just sat back and watched them play, cracking up laughing each time they had to say a word or do an action. Its really a perfect mix of calm when they just pick a card, and the frenzy of landing on the coconut or banana! The play area set up for the spinner and all the cards is pretty small so it doesn’t take a lot of room to play like some other games do, and everything is just simple and fun. Definitely recommend this game for kids!
We are big fans of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, so we were very excited to check out this game from the same game company. 800 Pound Gorilla takes minutes to explain, and rounds of this game take no more than 15-20 minutes to complete. Overall an easily accessible game for all ages: half of the mechanics are purely luck based, and the other half are speed based. Points are awarded in the form of banana tokens, and the game is over once either you’re out of banana tokens to hand out, or the gorilla card deck is out.
This game was so much fun to play with my whole family. My kids are 9 and 11, and they were laughing and having fun the entire time we played. I would definitely reccomend 800 Pound Gorilla for your next family game night.
This is an amazing family game. We have played a similar version of a game. I prefer this one. My kids liked it so much that we took it to family game night so that they could teach it to their cousins. We will play this one many more times.
